Caventure Drug Discovery, Inc. established in June 2017. Dr. Craig T. Hartrick and Allison Hartrick saw a need to fill when it came to pain management. Too many people suffer from the mismanagement of pain. With hopes to try to find a solution to many of those who suffer, Caventure is developing a novel peripherally-restricted opioid analgesic for a wide range of pain indications. This dual-acting drug will have the efficacy of an opioid, but lack typical mu-opioid related sedation, respiratory depression, constipation and addictive potential characteristics, while avoiding the diuresis and low efficacy associated with other non-mu peripherally-restricted opioids under development.
Caventure Drug Discovery, Inc. aims to improve the lives of patients and the well-being of society through the development of safe and effective analgesics for serious pain conditions.
